Location #3

The Las Cruces Adobe. It's still more of less standing today covered by a metal roof. I detailed some of the history of this on the main page of this section but if you would like to see a very detailed colorful history of this place, Barry Zarakov's "A history of the Las Cruces Adobe" is an excellent source.

View looking east showing the metal covering and the fence surronding the adobe. I think the razorwire was a little unecessary.

View showing the original collapsing roof and the old adobe underneath.

Similar to the above shot.

View of the old brick walls.
The north side of the old adobe.
An old outbuilding with the adobe in the background.
Closer view of the walls.
There is a massive cactus grove just to the east of the adobe. I wonder if this may be where the old Chumash burial grounds were.
This is located on the trail to the adobe.
